About A Perfect Love Awards
The Annual Awards Selection by A Perfect Love, established in 2023, aims to recognize individuals from various sectors in China and the United States who have made outstanding contributions to charitable activities or provided significant assistance and support to American families adopting disabled Chinese orphans.
The selection process adheres to the principle of "Excellence over Quantity," carefully screening candidates to honor no more than ten outstanding individuals from the final shortlist.
I. Award Categories

"A Perfect Love · Person of the Year Award":
Granted to individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of children's welfare, philanthropy, or public welfare in the United States or have had substantial influence in these fields. -
"A Perfect Love · Compassionate Angel Award":
Awarded to individuals who have provided assistance or support to American families adopting disabled Chinese orphans.

(Alternative: "A Perfect Love · Outstanding Young Philanthropy Leader of the Year": Awarded to individuals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated outstanding performance in philanthropy.)
II. Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Candidate Eligibility:
Candidates may include major business leaders (e.g., chairpersons, presidents, CEOs, general managers), professionals from media and the arts (e.g., journalists, musicians, singers, actors), academics (e.g., researchers, professors), and individuals from various sectors engaged in charitable activities in China and the United States.

Contributions and Influence:
Candidates must have made significant contributions to, or hold considerable influence in, the development of philanthropy or public welfare at an international, national, or regional level. This includes, but is not limited to:

Wealth creation capacity

Media recognition and public outreach

Social Reputation:
Candidates must possess strong social recognition, as demonstrated by:

Achievements in Philanthropy:
Candidates must have advanced philanthropic concepts and achieved significant results, meeting at least one of the following conditions:

Donated a cumulative total of at least $5 million directly over three consecutive years (donation amounts are not the sole selection criterion).

Raised or facilitated donations exceeding $50 million through public fundraising or corporate giving.

Directly or indirectly impacted and helped more than 10,000 individuals.

Provided professional technical support to children’s welfare in the U.S., achieving broad recognition.

Industry Excellence:
Candidates must have achieved substantial accomplishments in their respective industries and contributed significantly to the development of the field.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must support United Nations treaties for international peace and anti-war and have no criminal record.
III. Selection Principles

Excellence over Quantity:
Maintain high standards to ensure the excellence and representativeness of awardees. -
Fairness and Transparency:
Ensure a transparent selection process, adhering to international practices and industry standards. -
Broad Recommendations:
Accept nominations from all sectors of society. -
No Duplication:
Individuals who have previously received similar national or international awards are not eligible for consideration.
IV. Nomination and Recommendation

Candidates must be recommended by at least three members of A Perfect Love and one member of its Board of Directors.

Recommendation materials must include a detailed account of the candidate’s achievements, supporting evidence, and a social impact evaluation.

Recommendations are accepted annually from July 1 to October 31.
V. Selection Process

Preliminary Review:
The Secretariat of A Perfect Love reviews all submitted materials to eliminate ineligible candidates.

Secondary Review:
A professional review committee, comprising experts both within and outside the organization, evaluates candidates who pass the preliminary review.

Final Review:
The review committee submits the final shortlist to the Board of Directors of A Perfect Love, which votes to determine the awardees.

Public Announcement:
The final list of awardees will be published on the official website of A Perfect Love for one week, inviting public feedback and oversight.
VI. Awards Ceremony
Awardees will be invited to attend the annual awards ceremony of A Perfect Love, where they will be honored and invited to deliver speeches, sharing their philanthropic experiences and insights to inspire others to engage in charitable endeavors.
VII. Additional Provisions

All recommendation materials must be truthful and reliable. Any falsification will result in disqualification.

A Perfect Love reserves the right to interpret the selection criteria and make adjustments to the selection process and results in special circumstances.

The selection criteria aim to ensure fairness, transparency, and authority while encouraging greater participation and support for the development of China-US philanthropy.
