Compassionate Angel Award Winners:
Clyde Weiguo Xi
Clyde, originally from China, moved to Canada in 1989 to pursue graduate studies at the University of Alberta, where he earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and received Jesus Christ as his Savior. In 1997, he relocated to Columbus, Indiana, to work at Cummins Inc., retiring in January 2024 as Engineering Director and Senior Technical Advisor.
Clyde and his wife, Angela, have two adult sons and an adopted daughter from China. Active members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church since 1998, Clyde has led numerous mission projects and co-founded the Columbus Chinese Christian Fellowship, serving as a Bible study leader and lay preacher for over 15 years.
In 2022, Clyde founded Village of the Stars (VoS), a nonprofit supporting adoptive families and children with special needs through financial, cultural, and spiritual resources. To date, VoS has supported over 40 families and 100 children, providing more than $120,000 in assistance. Clyde’s work reflects his deep faith and dedication to helping families and communities in need.
Xin Luo
Xin Luo graduated from Peking University’s Sociology Department in 1988 and earned a master’s degree in Social Psychology from Renmin University. After working in Hainan for years, she moved to New Jersey in 2000. Xin Luo is the founder of the Qicai Niangniang public platform, where she has published over 70 impactful articles and created videos highlighting the stories of American adoptive families.
Since launching the “Wishlist Initiative” in 2020, Xin Luo has helped over 100 adoptive families, sharing their experiences with the global Chinese community and garnering millions of views. Her work has built bridges of understanding and support, earning recognition from the U.S. Embassy in China.
